Kris has over 20 years experience as a structural engineer and Owner of GFDS Engineers, a high-end structural design firm. Kris has worked with leading architectural and contracting firms in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York, engineering complex projects ranging from Silicon Valley campuses to multi-million dollar estates. Inspired by the industry’s massive inefficiencies and fragmented tools for managing information and communication, Kris founded Construcs in 2011.
Ari Gati
Co-founder and Product
Ari has over 17 years experience in software development and Internet technology, including IT leadership, program management, and product development. Ari began his career building high-growth Internet start-ups from the mid 1990’s and served as an IT Director for Move Inc. (realtor.com). Ari's two life passions, technology and real estate, combined with start-up experience gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of these two industries.
Richard Barber
Engineering & Technology
Richard Barber has 20 years experience leading technology teams in the US and Europe. He has served as CTO and VP of Engineering at startups and major corporations, including US Oncology (now McKesson) and Mindjet. Richard has created online software solutions for multiple industries, including cleantech finance, healthcare, manufacturing and education. He holds several patents, and BS and MS degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Physics from Cambridge.
Foo Lim
Software Architect
Foo Lim has 12 years of experience in the software industry. He has built systems and software products in large and small companies in the Silicon Valley, including ETrade Financial, HealthNet, Successfactors, Carbonflow, & C3 Energy. Foo had roles in various teams, including data warehouse, architecture, server, web developer, and generalist. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and a MS degree in Computer Science from University of California at Davis.
Jerome Thomere
Senior iOS Software Engineer
Jerome has more than 20 years of experience in Software Engineering. He served as a Computer Scientist at SRI International. A few years ago, he moved to iOS development when the new mobile platforms appeared. Jerome has created several iPhone and iPad applications both for SRI and startups. He holds a MS degree in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Paris and a MS in Artificial Intelligence from University of Marseilles.
Ken Chin
Senior QA, Release and Operations Engineer
Ken joined Construcs after a 5 year tenure at the music discovery based start-up, Ourstage.com. There he lead the QA effort, streamlined the release process, managed deployments from the ground up and is applying his experience at Construcs. Before that he held an automation position at ZANTAZ (acquired by Autonomy) and worked at Atari at one point in time. With a interest in music, Ken finds himself drumming or singing in his free time.
Paulo Raffaelli
Senior iOS and User Interface Software Engineer
Paulo has over 25 years experience as a software developer in fields ranging over brain research, digital recording for home studios, educational software, package tracking, typesetter controllers and CRM, at both large companies (Genentech, Hughes Aircraft) and small startups. He's programmed mainframes, personal computers, embedded controllers, handhelds and tablets. His work has won awards for ease of use, and he focusses on making software accessible for users who are not computer-literate. He studied Organic Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology.
Peter Ho
Senior Software Architect
Peter has 12 years of software development experience in business intelligence, security, cleantech, and finance. He served as an engineer/architect at Google, Oracle, PGP, and early-stage start-ups. He holds a graduate degree in computer science from Stanford University.
Paige Rothman
Finance (part-time)
Paige Rothman brings over 25 years of Operations and Financial experience to the Construcs teams. She has extensive experience in the Architectural and Engineering industry assisting businesses in everything from software implementation, business start-up, management and financial oversight. As Vice President of Operations at GFDS Engineers, Paige created operational, organizational and financial systems.
